Installation Tips

When installing an AHSS Unit, keep in mind the location and environmental conditions, which could affect the accuracy of the measurements and ease of use of the unit.
  • The AHSS unit can be mounted on walls or poles, or above walkways.
  • A minimum 6 inches of clearance above the sensors is recommended for easy sensor removal.
  • Remember that the AHSS unit should be easily accessible for routine re-calibration and repair.
  • Ventilation or air circulation around the sensors is required to prevent dead air that could result in inaccurately high temperature readings.
  • In the picture on the left, metal bars are included to protect the enclosure and sensors from any accidental damage.
